Bio
Recruited from Claremont, Mark Gale secured his place in history as an inaugural member of the Fremantle squad ahead of their 1995 entry into the AFL. Known for his blistering pace and defensive application, he carved out a niche as a disciplined tagger and utility who was often tasked with curbing the influence of opposition playmakers. Despite becoming a cult figure among the Dockers faithful for his work ethic, he was delisted at the end of the 2000 season, subsequently finding a lifeline with St Kilda in the pre-season draft. Gale played a single season with the Saints, adding 12 games to his career tally before retiring, leaving the game as a respected role player who typified the grit of Fremantle's foundation years.
