Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with selection 44 in the 1996 National Draft, Mark Kinnear was a tall utility capable of playing key position roles at either end of the ground. Joining a strong Sydney outfit fresh off a Grand Final appearance, the teenager faced a difficult task breaking into Rodney Eade's settled lineup. He made his debut in Round 4, 1997 against Collingwood and managed four senior appearances in his first season, occasionally drifting forward to impact the scoreboard. However, opportunities remained scarce the following year, and after adding just two more games in 1998, Kinnear was delisted from the Swans' list.
