Bio
Marlion Pickett completed one of the most remarkable pathways to the top level when Richmond recruited the 27-year-old from South Fremantle with pick 13 in the 2019 mid-season rookie draft. He immediately secured his place in history by making his debut in the 2019 Grand Final, becoming the first player since 1952 to do so and performing exceptionally well in the Tigers' premiership victory. A smooth-moving utility who settled primarily on a wing, Pickett was renowned for his poise in heavy traffic, signature spins to evade trouble, and deceptively strong overhead marking. He featured in a second premiership side in 2020 and remained a regular fixture in the senior side until his retirement at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
