Bio
Marlon Neocleous is a dynamic small forward who has established himself as an exciting player in the 2026 draft pool. Hailing from Traralgon, he developed through the Gippsland Power program and represented Vic Country at the National Championships. He caught the attention of scouts with his late elevation to the Marsh AFL Academy to play against VFL opposition, before playing a starring role in Gippsland's march to the 2026 Coates Talent League Grand Final. This included a dominant best-on-ground finals performance where he showcased his blend of midfield energy and forward craft.
A mercurial livewire, Neocleous compensates for his 167cm frame with pace, agility and excellent ground-level craft. Scouts praise his creativity, clean hands and ability to manufacture scoring opportunities from nothing. While he is deceptively strong overhead for his size and brings immense defensive pressure, observers note he can occasionally have quiet patches or become too eager to shoot for goal. Boasting strong scoreboard impact and forward smarts, Neocleous is widely rated as a top-40 prospect who is expected to be selected in the first half of the national draft.
