Bio
Martin Clarke was a notable success story among international recruits, joining Collingwood from County Down in Northern Ireland via the rookie list. An elegant left-footer with elite endurance, he adapted rapidly to Australian rules, establishing himself as a composed half-back and winger who played a key role in the Magpies' 2007 finals campaign. Despite this promising start, Clarke returned to Ireland following the 2009 season to resume his Gaelic football career, only to sign with Collingwood again two years later. His second stint was less fruitful, as he battled Addison's disease and struggled to recapture his earlier form, leading to his retirement from the AFL at the end of 2014.
