Bio
Recruited from East Burwood, Martin Davis was a versatile utility who largely operated through the centre and half-forward lines. A key member of the Tigers' 1955 reserves premiership side, he broke into the senior lineup the following season for a brief four-game stint. Standing 177cm, Davis struggled to cement a permanent spot in the 22 and eventually departed Punt Road, later surfacing as a captain-coach for Noble Park in the early 1960s. His lasting legacy came post-retirement in Queensland, where he became a pivotal administrator for the Southport Football Club and the Gold Coast Junior Football League, eventually earning life membership for his service to the game in the northern states.
