Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with pick 36 in the 1994 National Draft, Marty Warry was a lively forward who holds a unique place in the history of the Fitzroy Football Club. While his senior career was brief, Warry is best remembered for his standout performance in Round 8, 1996, where he booted six goals against Fremantle at the Western Oval to secure what would ultimately be the Lions' final victory in VFL/AFL history. Following the club's merger, he was thrown a lifeline by Collingwood with pick 44 in the 1996 National Draft but was unable to break into the Magpies' senior lineup, spending the 1997 season in the reserves before being delisted.
