Stats
Bio
Recruited from local side Kew and Xavier College, Matt Cody arrived at Collingwood during the tumultuous Great War era and immediately found a place in the senior lineup. He made his debut in the opening round of the 1916 season and established himself as a serviceable winger, retaining his spot in the side for the club's semi-final loss to Fitzroy later that year. A light-framed outside player standing 174cm, Cody provided drive along the flanks and drifted forward to boot two career goals, but his time at Victoria Park was ultimately brief. After featuring regularly throughout his debut season, he managed just two senior appearances early in 1917 before drifting out of the league level entirely.
