Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with pick 64 in the 2012 National Draft, Matthew Dick began his AFL career with the Sydney Swans. A rebounding defender noted for his endurance and dash from half-back, he spent two seasons in Sydney but was unable to break into an established senior backline, remaining confined to the NEAFL. Seeking greater opportunities, he joined Carlton as a delisted free agent ahead of the 2015 season and finally made his AFL debut in Round 4 against St Kilda. While he managed six senior appearances for the Blues that year, he struggled to cement a permanent spot in the side during the club's turbulent period and was delisted at the end of 2016 without adding to his game tally.
