Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle with selection 55 in the 1994 National Draft, Matthew Jackson appeared set for a promising stint at Moorabbin after breaking into Stan Alves' senior lineup for the opening round of the 1995 season. The West Australian utility made an immediate impact by booting two goals on debut against the Brisbane Bears, holding his spot in the side for the first month of the premiership campaign. Despite this encouraging start, Jackson was omitted following the Round 4 loss to North Melbourne and was unable to force his way back into a Saints lineup that was beginning to integrate a new generation of stars, eventually departing the club after just one season on the list.
