Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle with pick 23 in the 2003 National Draft, Matthew Moody was a pacey half-forward and midfielder capable of breaking lines and applying defensive pressure. He debuted in 2005 as the Lions entered a rebuilding phase following their premiership era, showing his most consistent form during the 2007 season where he managed 18 senior appearances. Despite displaying flashes of genuine talent and goal sense, Moody's progression was stifled by a persistent battle with osteitis pubis and internal concerns regarding his professionalism. Unable to recapture his best form or maintain fitness standards, he was delisted by Brisbane at the conclusion of the 2008 season and returned to Western Australia.
