Bio
Recruited from the Hamilton Imperials in the Western Border Football League, Michael Edmonds was a handy midfielder-forward who earned a brief trial at Victoria Park late in the 1986 season. He debuted against Melbourne in Round 18 and booted his solitary VFL goal the following week against Carlton, but was unable to secure a permanent place on the Magpies' list. He subsequently moved to South Australia to continue his career in the SANFL, where he played over 30 games for West Torrens before a productive stint with Norwood saw him averaging over two goals a game in 1991. He eventually returned to the Western District to coach his original club.
