Stats
Bio
Recruited from Sale in the Latrobe Valley, Michael Gargan was a tall utility who briefly broke into the North Melbourne lineup during the 1968 season. Standing 183cm, he offered a versatile option for the Kangaroos and was handed his debut in a daunting Round 4 clash against Collingwood at Victoria Park. Gargan held his spot for three consecutive matches, booting goals against Fitzroy and St Kilda, but was unable to cement a permanent position in the senior side. His VFL career was limited to that single three-game stretch before he drifted out of the league, remaining one of the many country recruits from the Gippsland region who managed a fleeting taste of senior football in the late 1960s.
