Bio
A highly touted recruit from Sandy Bay in the Tasmanian Football League, Michael Seddon arrived at Melbourne amid a frenzy of interest from nearly every VFL club. The Demons secured the classy ruck-rover with a lucrative sign-on fee, and he immediately repaid the faith by playing 16 games in his debut 1980 season, showing poise and ball-winning ability in a struggling side. While he established himself as a regular contributor in the midfield, a major knee reconstruction in 1983 derailed his momentum, eventually forcing him out of the senior lineup by 1985. Seddon returned to Tasmania to carve out a legendary legacy, sharing the 1988 William Leitch Medal and later earning induction into the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame.
