Bio
Recruited from West Coburg, Mick Erwin began his senior career at Collingwood as a ruck-rover and half-forward noted for his ability to take a strong overhead mark. Finding regular senior opportunities limited at Victoria Park, he crossed to Richmond in 1966 where he produced the most consistent football of his career under Tom Hafey. While he became a regular fixture at Punt Road for several seasons, he ultimately missed selection for the Tigers' breakthrough 1967 premiership side. Erwin retired from playing in 1968 but remained heavily involved in the game, later returning to Collingwood to serve as senior coach during the tumultuous 1982 season.
