Bio
Recruited from Shepparton United in the Goulburn Valley, Mick Mulligan was an opportunistic forward who showed significant potential during a brief stint with South Melbourne. He made an immediate impression in his debut 1967 season, establishing himself as a dangerous option in attack with 20 goals from just 12 games, including a career-best five-goal haul against Carlton. A mid-sized forward with natural goal sense, he played the majority of his football alongside club legend Bob Skilton during a difficult era for the Swans. Despite his promising first year, Mulligan managed only one senior appearance in 1968 before his VFL career came to a premature close. He subsequently moved to the VFA, where he became a notable goalscorer for Williamstown.
