Bio
Recruited from Brunswick in the VFA, Mick O'Loughlin was a member of a prominent local footballing family that included his brothers Pat—an Essendon premiership player—Jack, and Thomas. He joined the Same Olds in 1899 for a brief stint alongside Pat before crossing to St Kilda for the 1901 season. A solid contributor who failed to trouble the scorers in his 14 League appearances, his career and life were tragically cut short when he died of acute pneumonia and bronchitis in 1905 at just 29 years of age.
