Bio
Arriving at Punt Road from North Melbourne Juniors, Mick Schade was a dual-sport talent whose VFL career was a brief cameo in the 1911 season. Born in the Bendigo region of Huntly, he broke into the Tigers' lineup for a debut against Carlton in Round 6 and tasted victory in his second and final match against University, where he booted his solitary career goal. While he couldn't cement a long-term spot in the Richmond 18, Schade’s athletic prowess eventually found a different stage; a decade after his footy career ended, he debuted as a right-arm fast-medium bowler for the Victorian cricket team in the 1921/22 Sheffield Shield season.
