Stats
Bio
Recruited from local club Ascot Vale Rovers, Mike Darby was a tall defensive prospect who arrived at Arden Street ahead of the 1961 season. Standing 185cm, he possessed the size to play key position roles and made an immediate impression, earning selection for the opening round of his debut year. Darby enjoyed a promising start to his league career, featuring in three victories across his first four matches, but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the senior lineup as the Kangaroos' form wavered. He added just four more games in his second season and failed to impact the scoreboard during his time at the top level, eventually departing North Melbourne with nine senior appearances to his name.
