Bio
Recruited from Salesian College, Mike Power experienced a rapid ascent through the Melbourne ranks during the 1974 season. He is best noted for the rare distinction of playing competitive football in the Under 19s, Reserves, and Senior grades all within a single year, a feat for which he received a special club award. A half-back flanker, Power was called up for his debut late in the season, playing the final two rounds against Fitzroy and Essendon. Despite this promising late surge, he was unable to retain his spot on the list and was cleared to Prahran in the VFA the following year.
