Bio
Milan Faletic arrived at Moorabbin as a decorated 28-year-old veteran of the SANFL, having already carved out a significant career in South Australia. The son of Slovenian immigrants, Faletic was originally a star at West Torrens before a dispute with coach Neil Kerley saw him cross to Port Adelaide, where he became a dual premiership player and best and fairest winner during a dominant era for the Magpies. Seeking a fresh start to get his personal life back on track, he moved to Victoria in 1981 and made an immediate impact, booting five goals on debut against Footscray at the Western Oval. Standing 191cm, he was a versatile key position player capable of operating as a ruck-rover or key forward, and he finished second in the Saints' goalkicking tally in his first season. Despite this promising start, his second year yielded only three games, and he returned to Port Adelaide in 1983 to conclude his career.
