Bio
Recruited from Sturt with pick 59 in the 2017 National Draft, Mitch Crowden entered the AFL system as a prolific junior midfielder known for his compact build and contested ball-winning ability. He earned a debut early in the 2018 season but spent much of his five-year tenure at Fremantle fighting for a consistent spot in the best 22, often finding himself squeezed out of the midfield rotation and repurposed as a defensive small forward. While his tackling pressure and work rate were highly regarded, Crowden struggled to generate significant offensive impact and eventually fell down the pecking order as the Dockers rebuilt their engine room. He was delisted at the end of the 2022 season and remained in Western Australia to captain East Perth in the WAFL.
