Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with pick 49 in the 2007 National Draft, Mitch Farmer was a tenacious small defender characterised by his aggressive tackling and hard-edged playstyle. He commenced his career at Port Adelaide but found opportunities scarce, managing just three senior games before being traded to Richmond at the end of 2009. At Punt Road, Farmer was frequently deployed as a lockdown back pocket during the Tigers' rebuilding phase, adding a physical presence to a developing defensive unit. Although he played 28 games across two seasons in yellow and black, he was unable to consolidate a permanent spot in the best 22 and was delisted following the 2011 season.
