Bio
Recruited from the Gippsland Power, Mitch Golby joined the Brisbane Lions with pick 16 in the 2010 Rookie Draft. A composed small defender capable of generating drive from the half-back flank, he overcame early career injury setbacks to become a regular fixture in the senior side, earning a Rising Star nomination in 2012. Golby enjoyed his most consistent campaign in 2013, playing 22 games and serving as a reliable ball-carrier during a lean era for the club. Despite this promise, he struggled to maintain his place in the best 22 during the subsequent coaching transition and was ultimately delisted at the conclusion of the 2015 season.
