Teams

Recruited from Norwood with pick 41 in the 2011 National Draft, Mitch Grigg was a skilled left-footed midfielder and half-forward known for his precise ball use and damaging long kick. Despite possessing the tools of a modern on-baller, he struggled to cement a regular position in a settled Adelaide lineup, often finding himself on the fringe of selection or utilised as the substitute. He managed just 20 senior appearances across five active seasons, frequently dominating at state league level but unable to translate that volume of possession into a permanent AFL role. Delisted by the Crows at the conclusion of the 2016 season, Grigg returned to the SANFL where he immediately proved his quality, winning back-to-back Magarey Medals to underscore his standing as one of the premier state league players of his era.
