Teams

Recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick 60 in the 2013 National Draft, Mitch Honeychurch arrived at the Western Bulldogs with a reputation for ferocity. A diminutive but tenacious small forward and midfielder, he built his game on high-pressure acts, relentless tackling, and an unyielding attack on the contest that occasionally put his own safety at risk. Despite his defensive work rate, Honeychurch struggled to cement a permanent spot in a Bulldogs lineup that boasted significant depth during the club's successful 2016 premiership era, often finding himself on the fringe of selection. After managing 35 senior appearances over five seasons—peaking with 11 games in 2015—he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2018 season having never fully established himself in the club's best 22.
