Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with a late selection in the 2015 Rookie Draft, Mitch White was a disciplined medium defender who struggled to secure a permanent spot in Melbourne's senior side during a period of list reconstruction. Initially utilised as a rebounding backman capable of intercepting opposition entries, he found his pathway to the AFL blocked by established depth players, managing only a handful of senior appearances as a reliable "break glass in case of emergency" option. Despite his delisting from the senior squad after three seasons, White reinvented himself at the club’s VFL affiliate, the Casey Demons, transforming into a contested beast and a prolific goal-kicking midfielder. His legacy is that of a loyal clubman and state-league star, eventually captaining Casey to a premiership and serving as a key mentor for developing Demons long after his time on the primary AFL list concluded.
