Bio
Recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels with pick 16 in the 2006 National Draft, Mitchell Brown entered the AFL alongside his twin brother Nathan, establishing himself as a versatile key defender for West Coast. Capable of playing tall or small, Brown used his athleticism and closing speed to quell opposition forwards, though his decade-long tenure was significantly hampered by injury setbacks. He missed the entire 2008 season following a knee reconstruction and suffered a heartbreaking recurrence in the 2015 pre-season, forcing him to watch from the sidelines as the Eagles reached the Grand Final. Despite frequent trade speculation linking him to a move back to Victoria to join his brother, Brown remained a one-club player, compiling 94 games before being delisted at the end of 2016.
