Stats
Bio
Recruited from local side Moonee Imperials, Murray Dimble joined the Essendon Seconds as a teenager, tasting early success as a member of their 1941 premiership team. A solid rover and half-forward capable of hitting the scoreboard, he broke into the senior side the following year, though his momentum was quickly halted by the Second World War. Dimble missed the entirety of the 1943 season due to active service overseas, returning to play two more seasons at Windy Hill before crossing to St Kilda in 1946. He spent his final two VFL years at the Junction Oval, later moving into coaching with the Essendon District League Juniors and Repatriation FC, where he was eventually awarded the British Empire Medal for his long-term work in rehabilitation services.
