Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 52 in the 2014 National Draft, Nathan Drummond arrived at Richmond with a reputation as an elite athlete after topping the combine in both the repeat sprint and standing vertical jump. His transition to the senior level was cruelly interrupted when he suffered a ruptured ACL during his debut match against Melbourne in 2015, a devastating setback that came just as he was showcasing his potential as a high-pressure midfielder and forward. Drummond spent the majority of his tenure at Punt Road in rehabilitation or regaining touch in the VFL, struggling to find continuity in his game while the senior side evolved into a premiership dynasty. Despite his athleticism and defensive work rate, he was unable to cement a regular spot in the Tigers' best 22 and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2018 season.
