Bio
Recruited via the NSW scholarship pathway, Nathan Gordon initially broke into the AFL with the Sydney Swans but struggled to penetrate a premiership-calibre midfield, managing just two senior appearances before his 2012 delisting. Rather than accept the end of his career, he moved to the SANFL to play for North Adelaide, where a standout 2013 campaign prompted Richmond to offer him a lifeline as a mature-age recruit. A high-half forward renowned for his elite aerobic capacity and work rate, Gordon played 21 games for the Tigers, often tasked with a demanding link-up role between the arcs. Despite his impressive fitness base, he was unable to consistently impact the scoreboard or cement a spot in the best 22, leading to his final delisting at the conclusion of the 2015 season.
