Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle with selection 29 in the 1996 National Draft, Nathan Turvey was a long-kicking left-footed defender who struggled to establish himself in Ken Judge's Hawthorn side. His debut season in 1998 was hampered by significant finger tendon injuries, restricting him to just three senior appearances after he had spent the previous year developing in the reserves. While he managed another seven games in 1999, the West Australian was unable to secure a permanent role in the Hawks' backline and was delisted at the conclusion of the season, eventually continuing his state league career with South Adelaide in the SANFL and later returning to the WAFL.
