Stats
Bio
Recruited from the northern suburbs, Neil Boyd arrived at Fitzroy via Clifton Hill CYMS and Preston with the physical profile of a robust key position prospect. Standing 183cm and weighing 82kg, he was considered a tall player for the era, offering the Maroons a strong body capable of competing in aerial duels. Boyd earned his opportunity during the 1938 season, breaking into the senior lineup to play four matches as Fitzroy looked to test their depth during a lean year. His VFL tenure was ultimately brief, concluding at the end of that single season without a goal to his name.
