Bio
Recruited as a teenage prospect, Neil MacLeod made his senior debut for Fitzroy in the opening round of 1977 at just 17 years of age. A dangerous rover with a sharp eye for goal, he showed early promise at the Lions but struggled to command a regular place in the senior lineup, managing just ten games across two seasons. Seeking greater opportunity, MacLeod transferred to St Kilda in 1980, yet found himself on the fringe of selection at Moorabbin and added only four more appearances to his career tally. While his time in the VFL was brief, MacLeod later established himself as a star in the VFA with Sandringham, where he played in the 1985 premiership side and won the J.J. Liston Trophy as the competition's best and fairest player.
