Bio
Recruited from Subiaco via the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection period in 2022, Nic Martin arrived at Essendon as a mature-age prospect after being overlooked in multiple national drafts. He made an immediate impact with a high-production debut against Geelong, gathering 27 disposals and five goals to earn a Rising Star nomination and quickly cementing his place in the senior side. A versatile operator with an elite aerobic capacity, Martin initially made his name on a wing and half-forward before transitioning into a play-generating half-back role to utilise his precision kicking and decision-making. Having evolved from a rookie list gamble into a vital structural piece for the Bombers, he established himself as one of the club's most consistent accumulators and a reliable link player between defence and attack.
