Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Gippsland Power with pick 48 in the 2008 National Draft, Nicholas Heyne entered the AFL system as a talented left-footed utility capable of playing across half-forward or through the midfield. He joined St Kilda during the club's peak competitive window under Ross Lyon, an environment where breaking into the senior 22 was notoriously difficult, and he managed just three appearances in 2010. After being delisted by the Saints following the 2011 season, Heyne was handed a lifeline by Carlton in the Pre-Season Draft, but persistent soft-tissue injuries plagued his brief tenure at Princes Park. He was unable to add to his career game tally while with the Blues and was delisted after a single season, eventually continuing his football journey in the NEAFL.
