Bio
Recruited from the West Australian goldfields town of Kalgoorlie via East Perth, Nick Gelavis was a rover who briefly tested his skills in the Victorian competition during the early 1950s. He initially joined South Melbourne, where he played 15 games over two seasons and demonstrated some goal-kicking ability before crossing to Footscray midway through the 1954 season. Despite the move to the Western Oval occurring during the club's historic premiership year, Gelavis managed only four senior appearances for the Bulldogs and did not feature in the finals campaign, eventually returning to the WAFL to conclude his career.
