Bio
Nick Gill's career serves as a testament to persistence, finally making his AFL debut with Adelaide at age 24 after previously spending time on the rookie lists of both Melbourne and North Melbourne without registering a senior game. Following dominant displays for North Adelaide in the SANFL, he was recruited by the Crows as a mature-age prospect who offered blistering speed and strong contested marking as a key forward. While his athleticism created numerous scoring opportunities, his time at the elite level was often frustrated by recurring hamstring injuries and notoriously wayward kicking for goal, most notably during the 2007 finals series. Despite these limitations restricting him to just 17 games over three seasons, Gill remained a dangerous albeit erratic target inside 50 until his retirement in 2009.
