Stats
Bio
A prolific country footballer, Nick Hider arrived at Victoria Park via the 1995 Pre-Season Draft after winning the Maskell Medal with Camperdown in the Hampden Football League. Standing just 174cm, the mature-age rover and forward was given an immediate opportunity by coach Leigh Matthews, debuting in the season opener against Carlton. He held his spot for Round 2 against West Coast, where he booted his solitary AFL goal, but was omitted the following week and failed to regain his place in the senior side. Though his AFL stint was limited to a single season, Hider returned to regional Victoria to forge a decorated local career, claiming a second Maskell Medal with Warrnambool almost a decade later and winning the West Gippsland Latrobe league best-and-fairest with Maffra at age 36.
