Bio
Recruited as a mature-age prospect from East Fremantle with pick 73 in the 2012 National Draft, Nick Kommer quickly established himself as a high-pressure small forward known for his manic tackling and defensive work rate. He enjoyed a promising debut season in 2013, playing 19 games and winning the club's Best First Year Player award, but his career was subsequently derailed by chronic injury issues, specifically patella tendinitis. After missing the entire 2014 and 2015 seasons, Kommer managed a brief return to the senior side in 2016 but could not recapture his early continuity. He was delisted at the end of that year, remembered by Bombers fans as a spirited competitor whose time at the top level was unfortunately cut short by physical setbacks.
