Hailing from the Riverina and formerly associated with the GWS Giants Academy, Nick Murray earned his AFL lifeline through the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection in 2021. After the pandemic disrupted his plans to play VFL football with Williamstown, he trialled with Adelaide and secured a rookie spot, rapidly developing into a key defensive pillar despite being overlooked in multiple national drafts. A courageous fullback known for his closing speed and uncompromising spoiling ability, Murray frequently takes the opposition's deepest forward, forming a dependable partnership with the club's other key backs. Despite a ruptured ACL halting his progress late in 2023, he successfully returned to the field to re-establish himself as an essential, lock-down component of the Crows' defensive unit.
