Bio
Recruited from Woodville-West Torrens with pick 27 in the 1992 National Draft, Nick Pesch was a nimble small defender and utility who spent three seasons with the Adelaide Crows. He made his debut in 1994, utilising his pace and defensive accountability to play 31 games for the club, often tasked with minding dangerous small forwards or running off the half-back line. Despite showing promise, he struggled to cement a permanent position in Adelaide's best 22 and was subsequently traded to Melbourne prior to the 1997 season in exchange for Clay Sampson. Pesch’s time at the Demons was brief, managing just four senior appearances in his solitary season before departing the AFL level to return to the SANFL, where he remained a stalwart for the Eagles.
