Bio
Recruited from the Brisbane Lions Academy zone with pick 43 in the 2019 National Draft, Noah Cumberland endured a difficult start to his AFL career after a ruptured ACL wiped out his first season at Punt Road. He eventually broke into the Richmond line-up as an explosive mid-sized forward, showcasing a potent left foot and a natural instinct for goal, highlighted by a prolific stretch in 2022 where he kicked 19 goals in nine matches. However, Cumberland found it difficult to maintain a permanent place in the senior side, with his elite scoring impact often offset by inconsistencies in his defensive pressure and two-way running. Unable to bridge the gap between his offensive talent and the defensive demands of the modern game, he remained on the fringes of selection before being delisted by the Tigers at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
