Bio
Recruited from the coastal Victorian town of Lorne, Noel Alsop joined Footscray ahead of the 1937 season as a lightly framed forward option. Born on Christmas Eve, the 178cm recruit showed he could contribute on the scoreboard, slotting four goals during his brief exposure to VFL football. Despite this, he struggled to command a permanent spot in the Bulldogs' starting eighteen, drifting on the fringe of selection to record just seven games across two years. His career at the elite level concluded at the end of the 1938 season, marking a short stint for the country recruit in the period immediately preceding World War II.
