Bio
Recruited from Kyabram in the Goulburn Valley, Noel Baker was a winger who arrived at Melbourne just as the club was building towards its golden era under Norm Smith. He faced stiff competition for a spot in an increasingly formidable lineup, managing just eight senior appearances across three seasons while frequently turning out for the reserves. Unable to cement a regular place in a side on the verge of a dynasty, Baker left the Demons prior to the 1956 season and transferred to VFA club Preston.
