Bio
Arriving at the Brunswick Street Oval from Thornbury CYMS, Noel Carroll was a lightly built recruit who played two distinct stints for Fitzroy during the early 1950s. He made his debut in the latter half of the 1951 season, managing six senior appearances in his first year, but found himself out of the side entirely during the Lions' successful 1952 campaign that saw the club reach a preliminary final. Carroll fought his way back into the lineup in 1953, adding another six matches and registering his solitary career goal, but he was unable to cement a permanent position in the competitive Fitzroy 22 and departed the VFL scene shortly after.
