Bio
Recruited from Warragul in the Central Gippsland region, Norm Brooker was a defender who made a brief appearance for Richmond during the 1911 season. He broke into the senior side late in the year, playing three consecutive matches in the backline from Round 16 to Round 18 as the Tigers cemented a finals berth. Despite this late run of form, Brooker was omitted from the team for the semi-final clash against Essendon and did not feature at VFL level again. While his football career was fleeting, his contribution to the nation was significant, as he went on to serve in the Australian military during both World War I and World War II.
