Bio
Recruited from South Richmond, Norm Crewther arrived at Collingwood with significant pedigree as the nephew of club great Bill Proudfoot. Standing 183cm, he was a tall utility player for the era who primarily operated as a defender but proved capable of drifting forward to hit the scoreboard, booting five goals across his 14 senior appearances. His career at Victoria Park coincided with the difficult World War II period, where he divided his time between the seniors and the reserves before eventually departing to continue his football journey with Coburg in the VFA. Crewther maintained a lifelong connection to the Magpies and was revered in his later years as the club's oldest living former player until his passing in 2010.
