Stats
Bio
Hailing from Port Melbourne, Norm Davis was given a short-lived opportunity with North Melbourne during the club's foundational era in the VFL. He joined the list in 1927, the Shinboners' third season in the top flight, as the club scrambled to find a competitive formula against established opposition. Davis made his debut in a Round 4 clash against fellow newcomers Hawthorn, where he managed to boot a goal in a promising start to his tenure as a forward option. However, he was unable to consolidate a spot in the senior side, playing just one further match before drifting out of the league. His brief two-game stint reflects the high turnover of players at Arden Street during the late 1920s as North Melbourne experimented heavily with its lineup to bridge the gap between VFA and VFL standards.
