Bio
Recruited from the local Drysdale and Portarlington area, Norm Grigg is best remembered as the younger brother of Geelong club legend Dick Grigg. His VFL career was brief, consisting of a single four-game stint in the 1911 season, but it was notable for the family connections on the field; in those matches, he lined up alongside both his brother and the famous Eason brothers (Bill and Alec). Following his short time at Corio Bay, Grigg managed a flax mill in Portarlington before enlisting in the First AIF in 1915. He served overseas in France, where he was gassed in action in 1918 and invalided to England, leaving a legacy defined as much by his service to his country as his contribution to one of the region's most prominent footballing families.
